Here is a hilarious parody movie trailer for the movie The Shining that would make Kubrick proud. As an editor and film nut, I can appreciate how well this is put together. (The use of Peter Gabriel's sickly-sweet "Solsbury Hill" is particularly inspired.) And as the great Jeffrey Wells put it:
...it has a dark undercurrent because it perfectly nails the idiot-virus affecting movie advertising attitudes right now. It shows that you can take footage from any drama and lie through your teeth and make it look like a total fluffball movie...and this is what marketing people do all the time, because all they want to do is get people to show up on opening weekend, period.
